Covid-19: Bangladesh reports 23 deaths, 1493 new cases in 24 hrs

At least 24 people died of coronavirus or Covid-19 infection in Bangladesh in the last 24 hours, raising the total number of deaths to 5,861 across the country so far.

Besides, 1493 new cases were detected over the same period, taking the total number of infected cases to 4,03, 079 across the country.

A press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed the development on Wednesday (October 28).

Of the dead, 19 are males while 4 females. Of them, 21 died in hospitals while 2 at home.

Meanwhile, 1,610 patients made recovery from the deadly virus during the period, raising the total number of recovered people to 3,19,733.
