Dress code: Ministry seeks health Institute of Public Health’s explanation

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has asked the Institute of Public Health to explain the new dress code directions.
In a letter, signed by deputy secretary of health services division, Sharmin Akhtar Jahan, on Thursday (October 29), the concerned has been asked to explain within next three working days about the issue.
Earlier, on Wednesday, the Institute of Public Health (IPH), which works under the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), issued the notice about dress code, signed by IPH Director Dr Muhammad Abdur Rahim.
The notice of IPH asked male officials and staffers to wear trousers over their ankles and female employees to maintain hijab.
