Man beaten to death in Lalmonirhat: Probe body formed

A three-member probe committee has been formed over the incident of beating a man to death and burning the body in Lalmonirhat.

Abu Jafar, deputy commissioner of Lalmonirhat, on Friday (October 30) directed the three-member investigation committee to submit the report within three working days.

Additional District Magistrate, TMA Monir will lead the probe committee. The two other members are – additional police super Md Rabiul Islam and Patgram upazila nirbahi officer Kamrun Nahar.

Earlier on Thursday (October 29), agitated locals of Patgram upazila in Lalmonirhat beat a man named Shahidunnabi Jewel. Later, locals burnt him to death in the street.
