GD filed against journo

A general diary (GD) has been filed against Shafiqul Islam Jewel, former senior reporter of the daily Kalerkantho.

Anwar Hossain, a local dweller, filed the GD with Banani police station on November 2 (GD No: 203).

In the general diary, Anwar Hossain claimed himself as an activist and member of Bangladesh Awami League. He declared him as die-hearted fan of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. 

According to the GD, the reporter of the Kalerkantho is currently staying outside of the country. Highlighting various negative issues of the incumbent government, he is criticizing the ruling party.

Journalist Shafiqul Islam raised various kinds of question mentioning administrational irregularities and corruption of the government. The reports of the journalist is hampering the image of the ruling Awami League.
