Faridul Haque takes oath as state minister for religious affairs

Faridul Haque Khan Dulal, an MP of Jamalpur-2 constituency, has taken oath as the state minister for religious affairs.
President M Abdul Hamid administered the oath to Awami League MP Faridul Haque at a simple ceremony at Bangabhaban on Tuesday (Nov 24) evening.
President's Press Secretary Joynal Abedin said, “A gazette notification will be issued from the cabinet division, appointing Faridul Haque as the state minister for religious affairs.”
In an immediate reaction to his sworn-in, Faridul Haque said, “I will discharge the earlier duty after being the state minister for religious affairs.”
Expressing gratitude to the prime minister, he said, “I will continue my activities towards the welfare of the countrymen.”
Through his sworn-in today, Faridul Haque MP replaced Sheikh Md Abdullah, who died of old age complications at a Dhaka hospital on June 13.
Faridul Haque Khan Dulal, nominated by Awami League, was elected as the MP from Jamalpur-2 (Islampur) constituency in the 9th, 10th and 11th parliamentary elections.
