Bangladesh wants peace, not war: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that Bangladesh does not want war, it wants peace. But we must always be ready to defend the sovereignty of the country.
The Prime Minister was addressing the Bangladesh Navy's winter parade in Chattogram on Wednesday (December 30) morning. She joined the function through the video conference from Ganobhaban.
She said, “The previous governments did not take any initiative to rescue the sea boundary. We have taken this initiative and succeeded. The navy has now 27 warships and submarines”.
Referring to the Mujib Year, he said, “We are trying to do two things successfully. We are trying to supply electricity to every house and to build houses for the landless people so that no one can remain homeless”.
