Husband-wife killed as bus hit their bike in city

A man and his wife were killed as a bus hit their motorcycle on Airport Road in the capital on Monday morning.

The deceased were identified as Md. Akash Ikbal and his wife Maya Hazarika.

Moshiul Alam, sub-inspector of Airport Police Station, said a bus of Ajmeri Paribahan hit their motorcycle, leaving both of them dead on the spot.

Police seized the bus but its driver fled the spot immediately after the accident, he also said.

The couple hailed from Faridpur sadar upazila and used to reside in Mollartek area of Dokhinkhan.
