India to gift some vaccines: Health Minister

Health Minister Zahid Maleque has said that coronavirus vaccines will arrive in the country from India soon. The Indian government will send some vaccines as gifts.
He made the remark at the 'Meet the Reporters' programme organized by the Dhaka Reporters Unity on Monday (January 18).
The health minister said he hopes the first lot of vaccines would arrive from India on January 25-26. As well as we have continued discussion with others who are making vaccines such as Russia, Sanofi, Mordana and Pfizer.
“The Indian government will give us some vaccines as gifts and it can come any time. The gift vaccines can come before receiving the first lot”, he said.
“We have been working under the direction of the Prime Minister since the beginning of coronavirus. As a result, we have already been able to control corona”, he said.
The minister said every journalist will get vaccine. Besides, the health workers, the journalists are also working, and those who are in Dhaka will get vaccine soon. All district level journalists will also get it in phases.
