India hands over Covid-19 vaccine to Bangladesh

India has handed over 17,99,262 doses of Oxford Covid-19 vaccine to Bangladesh.
High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh Vikram Kumar Doraiswami handed over those Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen and Health Minister Zahid Maleque at a formal ceremony at State Guesthouse Padma on Thursday noon.
The vaccine came as a gift from India.
Earlier, a special flight of India carrying the consignment landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 11:00am.
Initially, the vaccines will be administered at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Kurmitola General Hospital, Mugda General Hospital and Kuwait Maitree Hospital.
