PK Halder’s aide remanded for 3 days

A Dhaka court has placed Sukumar Mridha and her daughter Anindita, two close aide of former managing director of NRB Global Bank Proshanta Kumar Halder, on a three-day remand.
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge KM Imrul Kayes passed the order on Thursday (January 21).
Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Deputy Director Md Salahuddin produced the two accused before the court seeking a three-day remand in a graft case filed by the ACC. Meanwhile, the court granted the remand plea.
Earlier, the watchdog grilled the duo around 10:00am. Later, the ACC arrested them after interrogation.
On January 8, last year, ACC filed a case against P. K. Halder on charges of amassing about Tk275 crore beyond the known sources of income.
