7kg gold seized at Dhaka airport

Customs officials on Friday (January 22) seized over seven kilograms of gold and detained a passenger from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

The detainee is known as a Sarowar Uddin.

On information, the officials recovered 62 gold bars weighing 7.290kg from him around 11:00am. The passenger came from a Mascot.

The total value of the gold is around Tk 5 crore. A case has been filed with Airport police station in this regard.
