County to turn into Sonar Bangla by 2041: Info Minister

Information Minister and Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud said that Bangladesh will turn into Sonar Bangla dreamt by Bangabandhu by 2041 under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina with joint efforts of the people of the country.

He was addressing as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected committee of Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bangladesh at La Meridian Hotel in the capital on Friday (January 22) evening.

Addressing the youth, Information Minister said, “We have to dream not only for ourselves or our families, but also for whole country and people of the country. Only then the country will reach its desired goal.”

He said, “Bangladesh, which was under food shortage in 2008, is now a surplus country under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Under the leadership of Bangabandhu’s daughter, we are the first in South Asia and the 20th in the world in our ability to deal with coronavirus. The immense energy of the youth is always crucial to keep this unprecedented progress of the country intact.”
