66,189 homeless families get houses, land

As part of the government’s initiative to bring all homeless families under housing facility during Mujib Barsho with the slogan, “None will be left homeless”, 66,189 landless and homeless families have got houses and land.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the distribution of houses on Saturday morning under Ashrayan-2 Project, the world’s biggest ever scheme for providing shelter to homeless people.

We are working to bring all homeless families under housing facility during Mujib Barsho with the slogan, “None will be left homeless”. One lakh more houses will also be distributed among homeless people very soon, she said.
