Special treatment to jailed Hallmark GM: Jail Super, Jailer withdrawn

Senior Jail Super Ratna Roy and Jailer Nur Mohammad Mridha of Kashimpur Central Jail Part-1 have been withdrawn over providing special treatment to a prisoner in violation of the prison manual.

Inspector General (IG Prison) Brigadier General Mominur Rahman Mamun confirmed the matter to risingbd on Sunday noon (January 24).

He said, the two officials have been withdrawn primarily. Investigation is underway in this regard. Action will be taken against them if they are found guilty.

Earlier three persons were withdrawn including a deputy jailer in this regard.

On January 06, Tushar, brother-in-law of Hallmark MD Tanvir Mahmud, allegedly met a woman in the cabin of a prison official for about 45 minutes.
