Runu Costa becomes country’s first coronavirus vaccine receiver

Runu Beronica Costa, a senior staff nurse at Kurmitola General Hospital in the capital, has become the first person to be coronavirus vaccine receiver in Bangladesh.

She took the vaccine around 3:30 pm on Wednesday (January 27) just after Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the vaccination programme.

PM attended the programme through video conference from her official residence ‘Gonobhabon’.
