Covid-19 vaccination starts at DMCH

The much-awaited Covid-19 vaccination programme has started at four booths of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

The programme was inaugurated around 9.50am on Thursday by vaccinating Professor Nurul Fatta Rumi.

Earlier on Wednesday (January 27), DMCH Director Brigadier General Md. Nazmul Haque visited the place. He said the vaccine would be given to 20 to 30 doctors, nurses and staff. Everyone will be vaccinated in phases.

Head of the Department of Surgery ABM Jamal, Registrar of the Department of Medicine Dr Farhad Uddin Hasan Chowdhury and many other doctors have expressed their interest in getting corona vaccine. Besides, government employees including nurses and staff will be vaccinated as per the rules, he said.
