Probe report submission against Nur, 5 others deferred again

The date for submitting the investigation report in the case filed over rape and assistance in rape against former Dhaka University Central Students' Union (Ducsu) vice president (VP) Nurul Haque Nur and 5 others has been deferred again to March 15.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Begum Yasmin Ara fixed the new date as the investigation officer of the case failed to submit the report within the deadline on Thursday (February 25).

The other accused are - Nazmul Hasan Sohagh, Hasan Al Mamun, Md Saiful Islam, Md Nazmul Huda, and Abdullah Hil Baki.

According to the case statement, the reported rape incident took place on January 3, 2020, when the prime accused Hasan Al Mamun, convener of Bangladesh Students' Rights Council, allegedly raped the victim. Later, on September 20, the rape case was filed.

Nur was named in the case for his assistance in raping the victim.
