UN recommendation for Bangladesh’s LDC exit: PM dedicated the achievement to NG

After receiving the final recommendation from the UN to move from a least developed country to a developing country, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina dedicated the achievement to the next generation.

The premier came up with the announcement while addressing a virtual press conference from Gonobhaban in the capital on Saturday (February 27).

She said, "This is a matter of great joy and pride for the entire nation. It comes at a time when we are celebrating the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the greatest Bengali of all time, and are on the verge of celebrating the golden jubilee of independence."

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister opined that the achievement of moving from a least developed country to a developing country is the result of hard work and dedication of the last 12 years.
