Dhaka and Washington have agreed to work closely to tackle climate change issue.
In a press release, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the matter on Saturday (February 27).
The commitment was made during a meeting between foreign minister Dr AK Abdul Momen and US Presidential Envoy on Climate John Kerry on Friday (February 26), the press release said.
During the meeting, Kerry recognized the extraordinary challenges faced by Bangladesh due to climate change and frequent natural disasters.
Bangladesh foreign minister Dr AK Abdul Momen welcomed the decision of the US to return to the Paris Agreement.
