Khaleda`s application to be sent to PM: Home Minister

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said, “Khaleda Zia's application on waiving sentence has been sent to the Law Ministry. After getting the reply from that ministry, it will come to Home Ministry. Then, we will send it to the Prime Minister.”
The minister said this while addressing reporters at his secretariat office in the capital on Thursday (March 4).
Khaleda Zia's sentence has been suspended for six months for the second phase in Zia Orphanage Trust corruption case and Zia Charitable Trust corruption case. The suspension order will be ended on March 24.
On March 2, Khaleda Zia's younger brother Shamim Iskandar submitted the application to the ministry.
