Biman`s new Dash 8-400 aircraft ‘Shwetbalaka’ arrives

A brand new aircraft Dash 8-400 joined the fleet of Biman Bangladesh Airlines on Friday (March 5).
The new aircraft, named “Shwetbalaka” by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) at 5:36pm.
Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism's Public Relations Officer Tanvir Ahmed confirmed the matter.
Earlier, on Thursday (March 4), the aircraft took off from aircraft manufacturing company De Havilland Canada. Later, Biman officials welcomed the aircraft with a water cannon salute today.
State minister for civil aviation, Senior Biman and aviation officials were present during the arrival of the aircraft.
