‘Strict action if anyone tries to damage life and property’

Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq has warned of stern action against the perpetrators of anarchy, saying anyone who tries to damage the lives of people will be severely punished.

The Minister said this after receiving the second dose of coronavirus vaccine at the Armed Forces Medical College Hospital in the capital on Saturday (April 10).

He said, “People have voted for Sheikh Hasina’s government to provide service to them. If anyone tries to disrupt that, the government must take legal action against them. Bangladesh has effective laws against declaration of jihad against the state and prevention of communal activities.”

Over the coronavirus vaccine, the law minister said, “The second dose of the vaccine will reduce the severity of the disease. That is why I’m requesting everyone to get the second dose of vaccine.”

He also said that the government has the capacity to give the vaccine to everyone.
