Govt to turn 100 villages into digital agriculture village

State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak said 100 villages will be developed as digital agriculture village through agricultural technology in order to bring modernity in the agriculture at the instruction of ICT Adviser of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Sajeeb Wazed Joy.

He made the disclosure while speaking at the distribution programme of seeds of Aush paddy and fertilizer among marginalized farmers in Singra upazila of Natore district on Tuesday (April 13).

“We are going to select 100 villages as a pilot project for the promotion of agriculture and development of farmers on the occasion of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. We will turn those villages into digital ones and introduce digital agriculture system there,” Palak said.
