Bangladesh sending 10,000 Remdesivir vials to India

Bangladesh is sending 10,000 vials of Remdesivir, an anti-viral medicine being used in Covid-19 treatment, as part of emergency medicines and medical equipment supplies for the people of India who are fighting against the Covid-19 pandemic.

Mashfee Binte Shams, Secretary (East) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, confirmed this to risingbd on Wednesday (May 5).

These medicines are being sent to India along the Benapole border, said Mashfee Binte Shams, adding that the consignment of the medicine will be dispatched today.

Bangladesh government on April 30 announced to provide emergency assistance to India due to the worsening Covid-19 situation in the country.
