Mamunul Haque sent to jail after remand

A Dhaka court has sent former Joint Secretary General of Hefajat-e-Islam Mamunul Haque to jail after end of remand in several phases.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Nivina Khaer Jesi passed the order on Monday.
Mamunul Haque was arrested from Jamia Rahmania Arabia Madrasa in Mohammadpur area on April 18.
On April 19, he was put on a seven-day remand in a case of vandalism.
On April 26, the court granted a four-day remand in a case of Hefajat’s mayhem in 2013 and later he was put on a three-day remand in a case of anti-Modi violence with Motijheel police station. On May 4, the court granted him another five days remand in two separate cases of Paltan Police Station
