People leaving Dhaka even on Eid day

On the occasion of holy Eid-ul-Fitr, home-bound people cannot be convinced to stay at their workplaces or at places where they were although long-route bus services were suspended to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

For last several days, thousands of people were seen to make their way to village homes in microbuses, motorcycles, private cars, pick-ups and ambulances amid the lockdown restrictions imposed by the government. Even on Eid day, they continued to make their home journeys.

After visiting different bus terminals in the capital on Friday (May 14) morning, it was found that many people are waiting for the bus at the terminals.
