Govt issues circular to extend lockdown

The government has extended the ongoing lockdown for another week from May 16 midnight to May 23 midnight to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection.
The Cabinet Division on Sunday afternoon issued a circular to this effect on Sunday (May 16).
The intra-district movement of buses is allowed while inter-district buses, water vessels, launches will remain suspended, according to the circular.
All departments and agencies involved in government revenue collection will remain exempted from emergency services. Food stores, hotels and restaurants will only be able to sell or supply food.
