1 dead as RMG workers clash with police in Savar

A clash between readymade garment (RMG) factory workers and police has left one dead at Savar, on the outskirts of capital Dhaka.

The deceased was known as Jesmin Aktar, a swing operator of Goldtex Garment Factory.

Sources said, police fired tear-gas to disperse the agitated workers around 8:30am. Meanwhile, becoming panicked, the victim tried to flee the scene but she hits with an electric pole. Later, she was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where she died under treatment.
