Attempted rape: Nasir Uddin, 5 others arrested

The main accused Nasir Uddin and five others were arrested in a rape and murder attempt case filed by film actress Shamsunnahar Smriti, popularly known as Pori Moni.

The law enforcers arrested them from capital’s Uttara on Monday noon (June 14).

Dhaka Metropolitan DB police joint commissioner Harun Ur Rashid confirmed the matter.

Earlier, Pori Moni filed a case against six people including businessman Nasir Uddin for attempting to rape and murder her.
