Nobody will be spared over Pori Moni incident: Harun Or Rashid

Joint Commissioner of Detective Branch (DB) Harun Or Rashid said that fair and neutral investigation will be conducted in the case filed over attempt to rape and murder to Pori Moni. Whoever to be found involved in the incident will be brought under the law. Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) is conducting the case with such spirit.

He told this to the reporters after recording information from Pori Moni over the incident on Tuesday (June 15).

Harun Or Rashid said, “Pori Moni is popular actress of the country. She is not only an actress, but also our younger sister. When we heard the incident on media, Inspector General of Police (IGP) immediately instructed us to take legal steps in this connection.  The accused were arrested within 12 hours of filing case. Alongside, everything necessary for fair and neutral investigation for the case will be done.

In reply to a query, he said, “The court put five arrested over the incident on remand. They will be interrogated. We have also taken information from Pori Moni. Attempt is going on to collect the video footage of the incident. We are trying to submit a report within a short time considering all aspects.”
