21 crore doses of vaccine managed: Health Minister

Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque said the government has made deal with several organization to get 21 crore doses of corona vaccine.
The minister made the assertion while addressing a view exchange meeting with the members of Bangladesh Private Medical College Associations on Saturday (July 24).
He said that so far 21 crore doses of vaccine have been managed. If these are received in time, Bangladesh will not lag behind of any country. 80 percent of the population can be vaccinated in time.
Zahid Maleque said, we are working to bring everyone under the vaccination program. Sufficient numbers of vaccine doses already have arrived in the country. 30 more lakh doses of sinopharm vaccine will come in July 26 or July 27.
Bangladesh private medical college association president M A Mubin Khan, general secretary Dr. Anwar Hossain Khan, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Sharfuddin Ahmed, and others joined the meeting.
