Bangladesh Covid deaths cross 19,000 with 195 new fatalities

The death toll from the coronavirus infection has surpassed 19,000-mark in Bangladesh, with another 195 fatalities reported in the past 24 hours.

With the latest figures, the number of total fatalities surged to 19,046.

6,780 new cases were reported during the same period. With this, the total number of infections stood at 11,53,344 in the country.

A press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) revealed the development on Saturday (July 24).

Alongside, as many as 9,723 Covid-19 patients made recoveries in the last 24 hours, bringing the total recoveries to 9, 88,339 the release said.
