Owners urge govt to reopen factories

Top leaders of industrialists and businessmen have urged the government to reopen all mills and factories during the ongoing restrictions.
The business leaders made the demand at a meeting with Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam at the Secretariat on Thursday (July 29).
FBCCI President Md Jasim Uddin, BGMEA President Faruk Hasan and leaders of various business bodies including BKMEA, BTMA and DCCI were present.
The Cabinet Secretary will inform the Prime Minister as soon as possible about the proposals made by the businessmen and the next decision will come after the advice of the Prime Minister, said BGMEA Vice President Mohammad Hatem.
