Registration for Corona vaccine to be completed even without NID

The Cabinet Division has issued a letter to three senior secretaries to take steps to ensure that those who do not have National Identity Card (NID) can also get vaccinated for coronavirus by registering in a special process.
The letter was issued on Thursday (July 29) to the senior secretary to the health department, the senior secretary of the information and communication technology department and the senior secretary of the local government department.
Copies of the letter have been sent to the Chief Secretary to the Prime Minister, Secretary to the Election Commission Secretariat, all Divisional Commissioners, Director General of the Directorate General of Health Service, all Deputy Commissioners and Private Secretaries to the Cabinet Secretaries.
According to the letter, as per the decision of the inter-ministerial meeting chaired by Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal in the cabinet division on July 27, the vaccination will be given by registering with NID card at the union level from August 7. Those who are over 18 years of age, but do not have NID cards, will be registered in a special process and vaccinated in stages. In addition, necessary special measures must be taken to get people vaccinated.
