Bangladesh reports record Covid deaths of 264 in 24 hrs

Bangladesh has reported its highest single-day deaths from the coronavirus again.

The country logged 264 deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, climbing the national toll to 21,902.

Besides, 12,744 new cases were reported during the same period. With this, the total number of infections stood at 13,22,654 in the country.

A press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) revealed the development on Thursday (August 5).

Alongside, as many as 15,786 Covid-19 patients made recoveries in the last 24 hours, bringing the total recoveries to 11, 56,943 the release said.
