A case has been filed against Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of e-commerce platform Evaly Mohammad Rassel and Chairman Shamima Nasrin, also the wife of Rassel, on charges of embezzling customers' money.
A man named Arif Baker filed the case with the Gulshan police against the e-commerce platform and its executives early on Wednesday (September 16) night.
Gulshan Police Inspector Aminul Islam confirmed the news.
The plaintiff noticed Evaly’s advertising in May and made orders of several products including motorcycles from the site. But the products were not delivered in due time, according to the case statement.
Baker contacted the Evaly offices and its CEO over the purchases and he responded with death threats, “frightening” the man, according to the case.
