Evaly chairman, CEO arrested

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of e-commerce platform Evaly Mohammad Rassel and Chairman Shamima Nasrin, also the wife of Rassel, have been arrested on charges of embezzling customers’ money.

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested them at a raid at their house at Mohammadpur in the city on Thursday afternoon.

Commander Khandaker Al Moin, RAB’s law and media wing chief, confirmed the news.

Earlier, a case was filed against them on charges of embezzling customers' money.
