275 more dengue patients hospitalised in 24hrs

Some 275 more people were hospitalised with dengue fever, although no death from the mosquito-borne disease was reported in 24 hours till Monday (September 20).

Among the new patients, 211 are taking treatment in hospitals in Dhaka while the remaining 64 cases are outside the Dhaka division.

Some 1,072 patients diagnosed with dengue fever are receiving treatment in the country as of Monday morning, the DGHS said.

Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed the information.

On the other hand, Local Government and Rural Development (LGRD) Minister Md Tajul Islam today expressed hope that the dengue outbreak would be brought under control within the next month.
