Second dose of Covid-19 mass vaccination drive underway

Health authorities have continued administering the second dose of a Covid-19 mass vaccination drive across the country.

The campaign started at 9.00 am on Thursday and will continue till 3.00 pm without any interruption.

About 80 lakh people – vaccinated in a mass vaccination campaign marking the birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina one month ago – are receiving their second dose against the deadly virus today.

Dr Shamsul Haque, member secretary of the Covid-19 Vaccine Management Taskforce of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), informed this on Thursday.

If necessary, the time will be extended, he also said.
