Booster dose activities to begin soon: Health Minister

Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque said, preparation has been taken to start administering booster shots of the Covid-19 vaccine for all. The booster dose activities will begin soon.

The minister said this while addressing a program at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University in the capital on Wednesday (December 15).

He said, three women cricketers were tested positive for Coronavirus. Of them, two were diagnosed with Omicron variant.

Meanwhile, the minister urged all to maintain health rules to stay safe from infection.

'We have 4.5 crore of vaccine doses now. Bangladesh has been more successful than many other countries in controlling Covid-19,' he added.
