The Prime Minister virtually joined the inauguration ceremony of the trade fair from her official residence Ganabhaban.
At the same time, the prime minister also declared “ICT Products and Services” as the “Product of the Year” for 2022 to encourage exports in accordance with the export policy.
On the occasion of the trade fair, the Prime Minister in a statement said, “This trade fair will provide an opportunity for local and foreign entrepreneurs to inform buyers about the competitive advantages of their products and new innovations. Buyers will also be able to buy products from this large arrangement at competitive price.
She wished the overall success of the trade fair.
Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi said, “The fair has been arranged keeping in mind the Covid-19 situation. The number of stalls has been reduced due to this. The visitors, he said, will be able to travel on these buses with a minimum fare of Taka 30. Traders from more than 11 countries are participating in the fair, he added.
