The infection of Omicron, a new variant of Covid-19, is spreading continuously across the country.
But, the 11-point fresh restrictions, imposed by the government, on overall public movement and businesses were seen largely ignored on the first day on Thursday (January 13).
It has been made compulsory to show coronavirus vaccine certificates. However, people were seen gathering at shopping malls, shops, kitchen markets and on public transports without wearing masks.
Most of the hotels and restaurants at Khilgaon, Basabo, Dakkhin Banasree, Goran, Malibagh, and Rampura areas were seen ignoring health rules by not wearing masks and maintaining social distancing.
The visitors at those shops were seen careless about the Covid-19 restrictions whereas, the restaurant owners were seen busy in making money neglecting health guidelines.
While talking about the issue, Mamun Hossain, a manager of Dhaka Hotel in Tilpapara of Khilgaon said, “We have nothing to say. Please talk to our hotel owner.”
Khilgaon police station Inspector (probe) Sujit Kumar Saha said, “We are trying our best to implement the government’s directions. Roaming various spots, we are requesting mass people to maintain 11-point fresh restrictions.
