Students of seven colleges affiliated with University of Dhaka (DU) have withdrawn their blockade from the Nilkhet intersection in the capital on assurance of holding exam from several teachers of Eden Mohila College.

The students withdrew their blockade around 11 am on Saturday (January 22).

Khairul Basar, associate professor of Department of Accounting at the Eden Mohila College, and several other teachers talked to the agitating students and listened to them.

Khairul Basar said, “Eden Mohila College was today’s exam centre. Authorities concerned have the right to postpone the exam. We have nothing to do in this regard. However, we will discuss the matter with the authorities concerned.”

The teachers assured the students of taking the postponed exam as early as possible after holding a discussion with the authority of Dhaka University and urged them to leave the streets considering the public sufferings. Later, the students withdrew their blockade.
