Govt takes initiative for vaccine even before invention: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that government has given priority to collect vaccine for coronavirus.

She said, “We took initiative to collect vaccine jabs even for invention and approval for use.”

The Premier said this in the Parliament while replying to a tabled question of Tangail-6 lawmaker Ahsanul Islam Titu on Wednesday (January 26).

She said, “The Covid-19 vaccination programme started on February 7 last year for free which still continues.”

PM said, “A total of 14,61,84,812 people have been vaccinated for coronavirus till January 17, 2022. Of them, 8,91,63,978 people received fist dose while 5,70,20,834 second dose.” _BSS
