Shab-e-Barat to be observed on 18 March

This year`s holy Shab-e-Barat, the night of fortune, will be observed on March 18 (Friday) across the country with due religious fervour.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee held at Islamic Foundation’s Baitul Mukarram office on Thursday evening (March 3).

State Minister of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Md Faridul Haq Khan presided over the meeting.

Religious ministry’s additional secretary Md Abdul Awal Hawladar, Md Munim Hasan, Chief Information Officer Md Shahenur Mia and others attended the meeting.
