Bangladesh logs single Covid-19 death after one month

Bangladesh registered single death from coronavirus (Covid-19) in the past 24 hours, after a month, climbing the national toll to 29,128 across the country so far.

Earlier, Bangladesh logged single death from the virus for the last time on April 20.

However, some 16 new cases were reported over the same period. With this, the total number of infected cases stood at 19,53,204 in the country.

A press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) revealed the development on Saturday (May 21).

Alongside, as many as 172 Covid-19 patients made recoveries in the past 24 hours, bringing the total recoveries to 19,00,747, the release said.
