Six NSU trustees barred from leaving country

A Dhaka court has issued a ban for six trustees of North South University (NSU) on leaving country in a graft case of Tk 303.82 crore.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge K M Imrul Kayes passed the order on Tuesday (May 24) after Farid Ahmed, deputy director of Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), filed a petition in this regard before the court.

The accused were known as Chairman of NSU Trustee Board Azim Uddin Ahmed, members of Board of Trustees MA Kashem, Benajir Ahmed, Rehana Rahman, and Mohammed Shajahan, and Ashalay Housing and Developers Ltd’s managing director Amin Md Helali.
