Strict action if illegal clinics, diagnostics not closed from Sunday

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has issued a deadline to close unregistered and non-renewed private clinics and diagnostic centers within 72 hours which will end from Sunday (May 29).

DGHS said strict actions will be taken against those illegal private clinics and diagnostic centers which will not be closed within the deadline.

Dr Md Belal Hossain, DGHS Director (Hospital and Clinic), made the statement to media on Saturday (May 28).

He said, “DGHS is regularly conducting drives to shut illegal clinics and diagnostic centers. We will count numbers how many registrations were completed within 72 hours and how many illegal and diagnostic centers were closed. Then, the next decision and actions will be taken after discussing with concerned people including DGHS directors and civil surgeon. However, there is no doubt that the actions will be quite strict.
