Accident on Padma Bridge: Bike running at speed of 105 km/h

Two motorcyclists, who were seriously injured in an accident on the Padma Bridge on Sunday evening, have died.

The deceased are Alamgir Hossain, 24 and Md. Fazlu, 21.

The injured two persons were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where they were declared dead around 10:30pm.

According to sources, the motorcycle was running at a speed of 105 km/h.  At one stage, the driver failed to control it as a result a truck ran over the motorcycle, leaving two motorcyclists seriously injured.

Alamgir Hossain was a motorcycle mechanic and Md. Fazlu was an expatriate. Both hailed from Dohar-Nawabgan in Dhaka.
