Dhaka-bound seven trains will not stop at the airport station in the capital for four days, starting from July 6 to July 9.

The trains are known as Nil sagor Express (766), Kurigram Express (798), Drutojan Express (758), Ekota Express (706), Panchagar Express (794), Lalmoni Express (752) and Rangpur Express (772).

Bangladesh Railway (Western Region) revealed the matter on its Facebook page on Tuesday (June 28).

According to railway sources, the Eid-ul-Azha, the second biggest religious festival of Muslims, will be held on July 10 subject to the sighting of moon. There have been huge crowds at the station during the period. The schedule is likely to be disrupted if trains stop there as break. So, the stopover has been cancelled for the days.

Meanwhile, the railway authorities have arranged ‘a cattle special train’ to alleviate the suffering of livestock farmers and reach out to buyers at low cost ahead of the Eid.  The train will transport cattle from Chapainawabganj to Dhaka from July 6 to July 8.
